Gymstars Academy

Gymstars Academy was created with a simple vision: to provide high-quality, enjoyable and inclusive gymnastics for children within our local community.

Founded by Michelle Flemings, Gymstars Academy brings together more than 30 years of coaching experience, from grassroots gymnastics through to the very highest level of the sport.

After many years travelling the world, coaching internationally and working within elite gymnastics, Michelle wanted to bring her experience closer to home and create something special for the community in which she and her family live.

Gymstars Academy is about much more than learning gymnastics skills. We want children to develop confidence, resilience, friendships, coordination, strength and a genuine love of being active.

Whether a child comes to us wanting to learn their very first cartwheel, build their confidence, perform as part of a team or progress further within gymnastics, we want every gymnast to feel that there is a place for them at Gymstars Academy.

We Believe:

Every child deserves knowledgeable coaches, safe and progressive gymnastics, encouragement and the opportunity to achieve something they are proud of.

Our Philosophy:

We want Gymstars Academy to be somewhere children are excited to come each week.

Our coaching will always be centred around the individual child. Some children will want to progress quickly and challenge themselves, while others simply want to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy gymnastics.

Both are equally important.

We aim to create an environment that is positive, supportive, progressive and inclusive, where children can be themselves, celebrate their achievements and discover just how much they are capable of.

For Michelle, Gymstars Academy represents a new chapter — taking a lifetime of experience within gymnastics and bringing it home.

From first cartwheels to big dreams, everyone has a place at Gymstars Academy.
